Many of jobs posted online have already been “snatched internally”? And you are still busy applying for jobs online?

Have you ever wondered why many employers never bother to send you a formal “regret” letter regarding your unsuccessful job application? Some even tell you in advance before you even begin to apply, that should you not hear from them consider your job application unsuccessful.

Now, lets breakdown what is really happening in the background so that you know:

  • There is a long line, I mean a really long list of candidates internally within those companies, “eyeing” the very same jobs that are advertised online. And these internal candidates have an added advantage because they are familiar with the job specifications, the company culture and they may have some junior experience related to that role.
  • Employers also want to save costs by considering internal candidates because its “cheaper” in terms of recruitment costs but choose to advertise externally as protocol to follow fair labour practices.
  • Remember the internet, it can be accessed by millions of people at the same time, so any vacancy that has been advertised online, it also has a long list of potential external candidates applying for the very same position. So many employers avoid going through millions of resumes and interviews that could be very costly and time consuming thus change to considering internal candidates.
  • Some employers post jobs online and forget to remove the job ad online once the vacancy has been filled internally. This results in more people still continuing to apply for the same vacancies.

So really applying for a job online, is like “gambling” or playing the “lottery” – you might or you might not be successful, even if you are fully qualified for that job.

So what is the solution here, you might ask? Okay, here is want you need to do:

  • Go visit that company before applying for their online post – You can visit that employer in order request to an appointment with Human Resources Officer requesting some clarity around the job specification of the job advertised online. This will give you an opportunity to meet the recruiter and also give them a first time impression about you are a suitable candidate. You also have the chance of building a temporary relationship with the Human Resources Officer especially if you managed to “woo” likes from him or her. You can control the direction of that appointment in your favour and personally hand over your resume directly to Human Resources Officer.
  • Video: Send that prospect employer an HD video about yourself, why you will be a suitable candidate for the job and highlighting what value you will bring for their organization. Just get hold of the direct email address of the recruiter within that company.
  • Free Networking – found out if the prospective company has any sales networking session held around in your area where they are marketing their products or services. If so, invite yourself and get to socialize with influential employees of that company who could put a good word for you when you apply for the position.
  • Or you could simply volunteer to work for them for free – trust me , many companies don’t mind a free hand to assist them. By doing this you are able to get an opportunity to present your valuable skills to the prospective employer.

So, the next time you apply for a vacancy online and clicking the submit button – don’t be surprised by the “silence” from the prospect employer.

Or you can simply stop applying posts online and use your high income skill to become an entrepreneur.

The Millionaire Mindset — Virtual Kings

Mindsets that will help you grow your business Stepping up from solo-preneur to a successful businessman requires a “Millionaire Mindset”. The Millionaire Mindset — Virtual Kings

We unfortunately “downloaded” more poverty than wealth at an early age – because it was easier to learn.

Poverty downloading…

There is no complexity in becoming poor, its really that easy but on the other hand becoming wealthy is whole different “ball game”, one that involves risk taking. If you grew up in a poverty stricken home, there were very high chances that you had “normalized” poverty as the way of life and being wealthy was a far-fetched dream.

Children do not only really learn through listening but observing what their parents do around them all the time. Therefore if your parents had poverty mindsets, you as the child would automatically “download” that very same mental state, unconsciously.

Here are some examples of the poverty programming you received at an early age from your parents:

  1. Your parents saved money all the time for basic family needs even when it was unnecessary to do so – “using discount coupons to buy groceries”, “looking for sale above existing sale items”, “cooking food once a day and then keeping it refrigerated for a 3 days family consumption”
  2. Allowing your to watch “junk” on TV instead of reading quality books.
  3. Being told that “rich people” are “bad people” who scammed other people for money.
  4. Being told the following clique – “Money is the root of all evil”
  5. Advising you that schooling was the only method to be successful and wealthy.
  6. Never being allowed to apply for part-time jobs in order to learn about money management
  7. They showed you that living on credit was easier and better for getting things you wanted now without paying for them
  8. They taught you that receiving mail from debt collectors was normal – as they sent you to collected their mail from the mail box.
  9. You never really saw your parents’ physical money any where at home at any given time either than seeing credit cards and shop cards.
  10. Your parents believed in government handouts because they were responsible for their well being and they made you believe that.

All points above, slowly programmed you into believing that becoming wealthy was unnecessary and poverty was normal.

Why some Entrepreneurs fail? 10 Reasons

Have you ever wondered why some entrepreneurs fail within 6 months after deciding to start their own business? Why they eventually go back to becoming employees again? The real answer lies in the mental state of an aspiring entrepreneur.

Let’s explore some of the reasons why many entrepreneurs fail within 6 months:

  1. Becoming an entrepreneur for the wrong reason – “I want to make money, I hate my job!” You have to start a business because of an idea you are passionate about and willing to commit your time developing the idea.
  2. Poor business ideas or concepts – no demand or market for this type of business.
  3. Lack of information and experience – no research conducted on the type of business you are planning to start plus you don’t have the skills.
  4. No sales or marketing experience – you need these skills to attract customers so that they can buy your product or service.
  5. Financial pressure – you are unable to cover your immediate living expenses as an entrepreneur due to lack of new customers or business.
  6. You are the only employee in your business – you are doing everything by yourself leading to lack of growth and productivity. All rounder.
  7. You do not understand the market of your business – you initially assumed that you were going to make money based on your own internal beliefs.
  8. You did not listen to your customers – what do they really need from your business.
  9. You are an employee trying to be an entrepreneur – you are not ready to take risks, you enjoy financial stability.
  10. You started your business within the wrong timing – economic downtime: customers cannot afford your product or services.

If you are planning to be a successful entrepreneur, simply do your homework first , even before incorporating your business legally. Be passionate about your business idea.
